Masaru Kono 1963

An early masterpiece from one of the great luthiers of the 20th century. This guitar was made shortly after Kohno’s studies in Spain with Arcangel Fernandez and Ignacio Fleta and it is very Spanish in carachter with a deep and powerfully singing bass and beautiful trebles with a fast attack. During the 60s, Kohno worked alone in his workshop and this guitar was built entirely by the master himself (in the 70s he hired several workmen to help him in the workshop).
