Sold: Louis Panormo, London 1827

This is a wonderful Panormo with a deep, beautiful bass and singing trebles. I have used this in many concerts and recordings. Panormo was the only one outside of Spain that built guitars with fan braced tops. This makes the sound more mellow and with a fuller bass than most early 19 century guitars; in fact the sound is like a mixture of a romantic and a modern guitar, making them very versatile (even Villa-Lobos and other 20th century music sounds wonderful on this guitar). The guitar has been restored by James Westbrook; several cracks was repaired and the head is a replacement. It was also given new frets by Johannes Kitselis. It is in perfect playing order.

Top: Spruce

Back and sides: Brazilian rosewood
