SOLD: Karl-Erik Gummesson, 1970

This is a very unique guitar. As far as I know, this is the only cedar guitar that Gummesson ever made. This guitar has a very deep, Spanish sound with a powerful and thick bass without sacrificing the beautiful trebles.

Karl-Erik Gummesson (1910-2000) was one of Sweden’s foremost guitar makers. He learned his craft in Spain in the 1940’s and was deeply inspired by the guitars by Santos Hernandez. During the 50’s he also started building copies of antique instruments such as vihuelas, lutes, baroque guitars etc.

Top: cedar

Back and sides: Brazilian Rosewood (Cites certificate is included)

Condition: quite a lot of wear, a repaired crack but in perfect playing condition.
